Goalie Announcements (Apr 5)

Well, Monday night saw Al Montoya pull out a win in Toronto for Jeremy, while Jonathan Quick gave up a 2nd period lead in Vancouver for a loss for Brenda & Seward, so we know which way the goalies are leaning at the moment.

On Tuesday night, it's going to be a big night, 11 games on the schedule.  Let's go over the big races, see what we have to see, as we wind down the regular season.

Jeremy will have his number one going tonight, as Braden Holtby and the Washington Capitals will play host to the New York Islanders.  Holtby shouldn't be complacent with his standing, as he is going for an NHL record in wins for a season.  His opposition is likely to be Christopher Gibson (non-pool), who will be working, since the Islanders are on back-to-back nights.

The Kings are in Calgary on back-to-back nights, so it isn't expected that Brenda & Seward's only goalie will be going tonight, as Los Angeles should be resting Quick.  This segues well into our 3rd place team, belonging to Brian, as his goalie, Jhonas Enroth, should be in net for the Kings, going up against Joni Ortio (Dropped).  That will be Brian's only netminder tonight, according to the schedule.

Brian's 8-point lead will be in tough, as there will be some opposition from below.  It has been confirmed that John P. will have Chad Johnson going for the Sabres, as they go to take on Cory Schneider (Troy) and the Devils.  That will be John's only goalie tonight, with the Senators opting for Andrew Hammond (Dropped) against Matt Murray (non-pool) and the Penguins tonight.

Kristy & Don will be coming in hot tonight, with Roberto Luongo confirmed for the start against Montreal tonight, as the Panthers visit Mike Condon (John R.) and the Canadiens.  They'll also likely have Semyon Varlamov going for the Avalanche tonight, as they visit Pekka Rinne (Ryan) and the Predators.

Derek W.'s team may still be pretty hot, leading the Mover & Shaker again after one night and he will have a goalie going tonight, as Devan Dubnyk goes for the Wild, as they host James Reimer (John S.) and the Sharks.
