Letang Banned For Game 4

Indeed, not long after the NHL Department of Player Safety came down on non-pool defenseman Brooks Orpik for a late hit the game before, Kristopher Letang was also the subject for his hit on Marcus Johansson on Monday night and was given a 1-game suspension for a high interfering hit.

As you can gather from the video below, Letang's late hit made significant head contact, which led to the suspension itself.  Fortunately for Letang, Johansson did finish the game or else the defenseman with a history or supplemental discipline may have had his suspension increased.

In this year's Playoff Pool, Letang is situated in Box 20 and was taken 18 times out of 50 entries, the most popular player in the box, out of the four remaining teams in the playoffs.  In eight games in these playoffs, Letang has 1 goal and 6 assists for 7 points.

In terms of the money spots, Brenda, in 3rd place, has Letang, and her team is only 3 points out of 2nd place money, so this could be a decent loss for her side, unless the Capitals win and extend the series to at least six games.
