Morning Player Notes in the Playoffs (May 19)

It was a pretty tightly contested contest between the Penguins and Lightning in Tampa Bay on Wednesday night, up until the end of the 2nd period, when Carl Hagelin opened the scoring with only 10 seconds to go in the middle frame.  The 3rd period was all about the scoring, as both teams potted another five goals before it was all said and done and the Penguins walked away with a 4-2 win and a 2-1 series lead.

Hagelin, Phil Kessel and Sidney Crosby led the way for the Penguins, each picking up a couple of points for the pool, Crosby getting the bonus point for scoring the eventual game-winner in this one.

In lineup news, Ryan Callahan returned for the Lightning, as he missed one game with a bout of the flu, but Ben Bishop was still out with his lower-body injury and he continues to be day-to-day.

ImplicationsStuart's team continues to roll, as his lead has increased again, as he now stands 17 points ahead of Kristy, while Kristy's team is holding steady at 11 points up on Scott.  As we cruise to the end of the playoffs, there isn't a great deal left to really chat about.  How anti-climactic.
