Off-Season Injury Notes (Sep 17)

An injury update for Detroit Red Wings forward Tomas Jurco, as his back surgery may not be healing as quickly as the team and the player may have hoped it would have.  A tweet on Friday night from one of the team's beat writers suggested that Jurco, who is almost four weeks in from his surgery, will need more than another month to be ready to go again.

Jurco only managed 44 games with the club last season and only registered 6 points, so if he was going to be taken in this year's draft, he would have been considered a real sleeper pick.  Nevertheless, his status has been downgraded from out 6 weeks to out indefinitely and it will be a wise decision to avoid him at the draft next month.
