Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Mar 4)

It was that time again, the Ducks sending forward Jared Boll back up to the press box as a healthy scratch.  Boll has been a semi-regular in the press box this season, but has still managed to spend quite a bit of time in the penalty box too.

With Troy's team losing the league's top goon to injury, he could ill afford to see Boll in the press box, but the Ducks are in the playoff race and want to win more games and not spend extra time on the penalty kill.  Troy's team unofficially ranks 5th in PIM this week , which just isn't going to do.

Not too long ago, the Chicago Blackhawks signed free agent goalie Jeff Glass to help them with their expansion draft cause, but on Friday night, needed to recall him, as Scott Darling was held out of the game against the Islanders, due to an upper-body injury.  There does not appear to be any word on how long the Blackhawks expect to have Darling out of the lineup, but he is listed as day-to-day.

I don't think Scott missed a start with the absence of Darling on Friday night, but if Darling is still ailing tonight, he might miss one when the Hawks play the Predators in Nashville.  Scott's team has found some life, sitting 3rd in the weekly scoring and could really use a big week to get back on the fringe.
