Isles Re-Sign Seidenberg

Let the off-season begin! The first post-season signing of a pool worthy player has dropped, as the New York Islanders have re-signed 35-year old defender Dennis Seidenberg, giving him a 1-year, $1.25 million deal.  Of course, this will be a 35+ deal, where Seidenberg will count against the cap, except for being on the Long Term Injured Reserve, but he'll be a healthy body at the start of the season, in theory, so that shouldn't be a problem.

In the 2017 season, the German rearguard finished the year with 5 goals and 22 points in 73 games with the club, which was good enough for 75th among all defensemen.

In the pool, Seidenberg was taken by Tony, snapped up in the first Waiver Draft, after continuing on at the start of the season from a very successful World Cup appearance.  With Tony's team, he picked up 13 of his 22 points, which made for a pretty good pick-up, but was far from what Tony needed to get his team into the money spots.
