Afternoon Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 15)

It was a return to the press box for Arizona forward Anthony Duclair, as he still hasn't found a way to get his game back on track.  Duclair was a healthy scratch again against the Jets and one has to wonder, with all the trade talk surrounding teams in need of forwards, whether or not Duclair is an option on the trade market, possibly giving him a better situation for him to succeed.  The coming weeks will certainly be interesting for him or else he'll be a Waiver Draft drop, for sure.

For Wilton, his team isn't off to a great start this week and Duclair hasn't helped.  With only 3 points in through two nights, his Wilton's team is among six teams that haven't gotten off to great starts, vying for the Basement Dweller.

An upper-body injury forced Columbus forward Alexander Wennberg from traveling to Montreal for their road game against the Canadiens on Tuesday night.  There was no word on when he suffered the injury, but the scoring winger wasn't able to practice on Monday and isn't with the team, currently.  He's listed as day-to-day, but that's about as much as we've seen so far.  Wennberg has 9 points in 18 games, so far this year, so it is a significant piece of their offense out right now.

Brenda & Seward's team are making moves, finishing Tuesday night with 12 points after two nights.  That has bumped them up to 11th and they just continue to roll up the standings, even without Wennberg in the Blue Jackets' lineup.

The Montreal Canadiens confirmed, after their game against Columbus on Tuesday night, that forward Artturi Lehkonen is expected to miss a significant amount of time with a lower-body injury, but they wouldn't confirm any exact details.  Lehkonen has 2 goals and 5 points in 18 games this season, so he hasn't exactly been the most productive, but this could be a pretty good blow to a Canadiens team that hasn't been very lucky in the health department.

For Stacey M., this is now three players out of her lineup for the foreseeable future and one for the rest of the season, due to retirement.  Her team currently sits 7th after Tuesday night's action, but only 5 points out of the money and she'll have to rely on the other 11 healthy players to keep her team close.

The Vegas Golden Knights started a quick 2-game road trip in Edmonton last night, getting whipped into shape pretty good by the Oilers and they were without defenseman Luca Sbisa, who was sorely missed, I'm sure.   The current status on Sbisa is that he is day-to-day with some general body soreness and he won't be in the lineup for the game against Vancouver on Thursday night.  He will likely be reevaluated when the team returns back home, ahead of the weekend's schedule.

Steve's team has found some life this week, picking up 10 points in the first couple of nights of action and that has bumped his team up to 23rd, moving just ahead of Eric's team.  Steve's team is in dire need of making a move in the Waiver Draft and another injury isn't helping.
