Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 23)

Arizona Coyotes starter, Antti Raanta, got the nod last night against the San Jose Sharks, but he only lasted a little over 14 minutes, before suffering an upper-body injury and he had to leave the game to back-up Scott Wedgewood.  It was a no-decision for Raanta, as he left at a 0-0 game, and there as no immediate update on his condition and with the Thanksgiving holiday upon in the US, we won't likely get an update until tomorrow, when play resumes and they host Los Angeles on Friday evening.

Ryan's team is having a decent week, so far, before this injury, of course.  15 points through Wednesday night and his team will open up Friday night's action in 18th, 32 points out of the money.  All hopes on pinned on Raanta's injury not being very serious, as he doesn't need another injury to contend with at the Waiver Draft.

The New York Rangers have shut down defenseman Ryan McDonagh for the remainder of this week, as he is currently dealing with an abdominal strain.  McDonagh was held out of last night's game, away to Carolina, and he is also expected to miss Friday night's game at home to Detroit and Sunday afternoon's game against the Canucks.  He's still considered to be day-to-day for the time being, but he will be reevaluated on Monday and we should know more about his status for next week then.

Dale C. still sits in pretty good shape, heading towards the weekend, currently sitting in 7th place, 14 points out of the money.  McDonagh has been good for his side, picking up 12 points in 21 games, so far, but that production will have to wait until next week to resume.
