Noon Player Notes in the Draft (Nov 25)

The Detroit Red Wings are not expected to have defenseman Trevor Daley in their lineup this evening, when they take on the Devils at Little Caesar's Arena. Daley left last night's game against the Rangers in the 1st period with an upper-body injury, after he fell awkwardly in a collision. The Red Wings are getting him checked out this weekend and they will likely update his status on Monday.

Jeremy's team took another drop down from 1st place this week, dropping down to 3rd place after Friday night's action.  Daley has been disappointing for his side to start the season, only 1 point in 23 games and he is a candidate for a drop here next week.

Saturday's practice in Boston saw some different line combinations for the Edmonton Oilers, ahead of their game against the Boston Bruins on Sunday afternoon. One of the key changes that was noticed by the beat writers watching was that forward Jesse Puljujarvi was skating with the extras, which suggests that he is on his way up to the press box as a healthy scratch for this game.  If this is the case, it might not be a big surprise, since he only has 2 goals in the eight games since his recall and expectations are much higher than that.

This is another Waiver Draft candidate for the coming week, although Eric may still want to hang onto the top prospect for another nine weeks, it's really hard to say. He could gamble one way, taking one of the top forwards available or hanging tight with this kid's potential.  Eric is set to pick 2nd next week, so it will be interesting.
