Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Dec 21)

With the St. Louis Blues in town, it wasn't the best time to lose defenseman Travis Hamonic, but the Calgary Flames were still able to hold it together for a huge 2-1 win. Hamonic suffered a lower-body injury, believed to be a groin issue, in the 1st period of the game, not to return.  The coaching staff had said that holding out the rearguard was more of a precaution than anything, not ruling him out for the weekend, but he'll be questionable, at best.

Grant's 9th place team hasn't exactly been getting great production out of Hamonic this season, only 5 points in 32 games and those struggles on the blueline, tied for 21st in the pool, are really holding his team back from the money spots.
