Morning Player Notes in the Draft (Dec 9)

The Chicago Blackhawks snuck out of last night's game against the Buffalo Sabres with a 3-2 overtime victory and they did so without Ryan Hartman in their lineup, as they held him out as a healthy scratch for the second time this season.  In 27 games this season, Hartman has 4 goals and 14 points, good enough for 227th overall in pool scoring, through Friday night's action.  He can certainly be considered pool worthy, but a bit of a cold snap has found his game and the Blackhawks need to get him out of it to stay competitive.

Hartman was among that group of players that were activated this week after the Week Nine Waiver Draft, taken by Dale B. in the 2nd round.  He has only appeared in one game for his new pool team, failing to register a point, but there's still lots of hockey left to be played and he can still be an impact player yet.
