Tkachuk Suspended for Tonight

The NHL Department of Player Safety has come down on Calgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk again, as he has been banned for tonight's game in Montreal for an incident in last night's game in Toronto.  Tkachuk received the 1-game suspension for a spearing incident from the bench, as highlighted in the video below.

This will be the second game that Tkachuk has missed this season due to suspension, the first coming from another incident, while he was stationed on the bench during a scrum.

The Flames are going to be playing the second game of a back-to-back nights against the Canadiens and they won't have Tkachuk's offense in the lineup, 4 goals and 17 points in 27 games already this year.

For Chris, he knew the risks of taking a kid like Tkachuk, but he's getting about the right amount of production from him, despite his antics this season.  Chris took Tkachuk with the 130th pick in the draft and the kid ranks 152nd in pool scoring currently.  He's within a round worth of picking, so he isn't too far off his projected pace.
