Bogosian Out Long-Term

The Buffalo Sabres are now going to be without defenseman Zach Bogosian for anywhere between 4-to-6 weeks after the incident at practice on Wednesday, as his lower-body injury is indeed significant. Bogosian has been placed on the Injured Reserve, making room for tonight's starting goalie, Linus Ullmark, and the team that sits last in the Eastern Conference will have an even more difficult second half of the season than what was expected, so far.

Bogosian wasn't much help offensively this season anyways, as he only had 1 assist in 18 games played, missing time to injury a couple more times already.  The 27-year old has had a rough 2018 season and wasn't all that effective in the 2017 season either, as he is now inching his way to the Injury Prone List.

The extended time on the IR means that Wilton will have the chance at a bonus move, if needed, at the next Waiver Draft, but I would imagine, looking at his team, that he won't need bonus picks and improving upon Bogosian's presence will be one of his few moves need in a few weeks.

After Wednesday's action, Wilton's team still sits in 3rd place, 15 points out of 1st and 9 points clear of 4th place.

Just a quick update... Bogosian was added to the Injury Prone List in 2014.
