Goalie Announcements (Jan 18)

It's a big day in the goalie survivor pool today, as the two teams in need of a win get their chances tonight, as Grant and Wilton see a couple of their goalies rumble to stay in the running for that mini-game money.

Boy, it's sure nice to see 10 games on the schedule, isn't it?  Let's check on the relevant games...

Braden Holtby (Grant) versus Keith Kinkaid (Stuart)
The New Jersey Devils are providing the opposition to the Washington Capitals, in the form of the hosts for this match-up and they are going to go with Keith Kinkaid for a second straight start, even though Cory Schneider appears to be cleared for action, following the flu bug.  This is a big win for Stuart's team, which is currently vying for the Mover & Shaker this week.  The Capitals start back-to-back nights with this game and will kick it off with Braden Holtby, giving Grant his best shot at survival tonight.

Marc-Andre Fleury (Scott) versus Andrei Vasilevskiy (Wilton)
This could have been an all-Wilton match-up, but that wasn't to be, since the Vegas Golden Knights are going to go with Marc-Andre Fleury tonight in Tampa Bay, while Andrei Vasilevskiy does get the nod for the Lightning.  The Golden Knights are on the first of back-to-back nights, so if they were to steal the win from Wilton tonight, they will likely go with Malcolm Subban tomorrow night in Florida, giving Wilton another shot right away.

Carter Hutton (Benson) versus Craig Anderson (Tony)
How about a bonus game on the post today?  The Ottawa Senators are wearing their NHL100 Classic jerseys for a third time this season tonight, so getting to use that logo is a bit of a treat to break away from the monotony.  The Senators will be taking on the Blues tonight and it should be a good match-up in goal, with Craig Anderson going for the home side and the Blues continuing with the hot hand these days, going back to Carter Hutton tonight, much to the delight of Benson's 2nd place team, trying to catch Dale B. and fend off Wilton at the same time.
