Marchand Suspended For Five

Being a repeat offender is really starting to cost Brad Marchand.

The pesky forward was tabbed with another suspension on Wednesday evening, for his elbow to the head of New Jersey Devils forward Marcus Johansson on Tuesday night.  Marchand was not assessed a penalty on the play, but Johansson did leave the game, not to return and the diagnosis on the injury is another concussion for the Devils winger.

Marchand has been suspended five times now in his career and fined another three times, so he's no stranger to the Department of Player Safety.

The Bruins will be without their leading point-getter this season, as he already has 50 points in 38 games this season, ranking 20th in pool scoring, so far, despite missing time to injury already.  The first game Marchand will be eligible for is the February 7th game against the Rangers and he is still going to go to the All-Star festivities this weekend.

Cam's team will certainly take a hit with this loss, as the scoring rate alone suggests more than 5 points out the window over the next couple weeks, but the All-Star tourney money is still up for grabs and Marchand is one of two players on Cam's team that's set to go.
