Goalie Announcements (Apr 17)

Well, undoubtedly, with the way the playoffs have gone so far, today's goalie post had to happen.  I guess you'll understand more, when you look a little further down the post.

Braden Holtby versus Sergei Bobrovsky
The last of the Game 3s go tonight in Columbus, as the Blue Jackets look to build on the 2-0 series lead they accumulated away in Washington.  The Capitals are going to turn to Braden Holtby for Game 3, hoping to capture one game in Columbus, at the very least, and try and climb back in this series.  Sergei Bobrovsky will indeed get the nod for the Jackets tonight.

Connor Hellebuyck versus Devan Dubnyk
The Wild showed the Jets that they are not going to be pushed around in Game 3 on Sunday night, so that should make both teams very edgy, not only just because the series is 2-1, but the added intensity from being a very physical series.  Devan Dubnyk made good with his return home, so if the Jets are going to make quick work of their opponents in this series, Connor Hellebuyck will have to be the guy in Game 4 tonight.

Marc-Andre Fleury versus Jonathan Quick
Our first 8-ball of the playoff season and it belongs to the Los Angeles Kings! Game 4 goes tonight between the Kings and the Golden Knights, in Los Angeles, and these Kings are on the verge of getting swept out of the opening round of the playoffs, by the league's expansion team.

The Golden Knights have been there at every turn against the Kings in this series, holding them down to a very minimal offense and coming back from a deficit in Game 3 to put their opponents behind the 8-ball.  The Kings are going to need one hell of a game out of Jonathan Quick, because you know that Marc-Andre Fleury is more than capable of winning these big games.
